Come on on
I see no wake up in the morning and I ask myself
Is life worth living should I myself?
I'm tired of bein' poor and worse I'm black
My hurts so I'm lookin' for a purse to snatch
Cops a damn about a negro
Pull the trigger a nigga he's a hero
Give the to the kids who the hell cares
One less hungry on the welfare
ship 'em dope and let 'em deal the brothers
Give 'em guns step back watch 'em kill each
It's time to fight that's what Huey said
Two shots in the dark now dead
I got love for my brother but we can go nowhere
Unless we with each other
We start makin' changes
Learn to see me as a brother of two distant strangers
And that's how supposed to be
How can the Devil a brother if he's close to me?
I'd to go back to when we played as kids
But changed, and that's the way it is

That's the way it is
will never be the same
That's the way it is
Aww

I see no changes all I see is faces
Misplaced makes disgrace to races
We under I wonder what it takes to make
One place, let's erase the wasted
Take the evil out the people they'll be acting
both black and white is smokin' crack tonight
And only time we chill is when we each other
It takes skill to be real, time to each other
And it seems heaven sent
We ready, to see a black President, uhh
It a secret don't conceal the fact
The penitentiary's packed, and it's filled with
But some things will change
Try to show way but you stayin' in the dope game
Now tell me a mother to do
Bein' real appeal to the brother in you
You gotta the easy way
"I a G today" But you made it in a sleazy way
Sellin' crack to the kid. " I get paid,"
Well hey, that's the way it is

We gotta a change
It's for us as a people to start makin' some changes.
Let's change the way we eat, change the way we live
And let's change the way we each other.
You see the old way working so it's on us to do
What we do, to survive.

And still I see no can't a brother get a little peace
war on the streets and the war in the Middle East
Instead of war on poverty got a war on drugs
So the police can me
And I never did a crime I ain't have to do
But now I'm with the blacks givin' it back to you
Don't let 'em you up, back you up,
you up and pimp smack you up
You gotta to hold ya own
They get jealous when they see ya with ya mobile
But tell the they can't touch this
I don't trust this when they try to rush I bust
That's the sound of my tool you say it cool
My mama didn't no fool
And as long as I stay black I stay strapped
And I never get to lay
'Cause I always got to worry 'bout the pay
Some that I roughed up way back
Comin' back after all years
that's the way it is uhh

Some things never change
